I'R GAD WELSH BATTLEFIELDS CAMPAIGN 2009 LAUNCHED AT CASTELL DRYSLWYN ON 14 IONAWR, it's only the beginning?

.
This Post is still in development, lots more fotos to come but suffice to say for now the I'r Gad W.Bf. Campaign is launched. The Campaign in main will focus on CADW (also RCAHMW and other? as possibly National Trust et al) but I am not intending to get too radical and close down Castles etc as Cofiwn did to Castell Caernarfon in 1983 and Embassy Glyndwr did at Castell Cydweli in 2003. CADW has come a long way since the Festival of Castles 1983 and is no longer quite the 'Conquest And Defeat Wales' they were, their fascination with Shakespeare irritates me but I will deal with that at another time, first lets win the I'R GAD W.Bf C victory - this year I hope, with your help.
.
Basically I am just going around as many Castles as possible under
Cadw care this year with my placard and ''Croes Naid'' Cross, more to focus CADW's mind on fact that OK! they have done slightly well re recognition of Welsh Battlefield so far in response to this campaign. But really we must have that register same as in England and Scotland, so why not Wales. Then there is the matter of more Welsh Battlefield promotion, not least in a nice well presented booklet, as maybe a 'WELSH BATTLEFIELDS IN THE LANDSCAPE' publication.
.
Now that is not a lot to ask for is
it? and I must remind this matter is as much a matter of Patriots as individuals writing to the press in back up to my campaign, and as community mobilisation establishing 'I'R GAD' Welsh Battlefield Study Groups, Then adopt your nearest local Battlefield and get on with the campaign and all else that can be done as information posted up in this blog suggests, it really is up to you, my Cadw Campaign is but a gentle reminder to them and other institutions to stay focused and do not forget, that I will continue this campaign for as long as it takes.
.
That also means to the door of the Welsh Assembly and it's M
inister of Heritage and others there who should be also concerned as I about our Heritage of Welsh Battlefields which tells our Nations Story more dramatically and painfully than much else.
